photography
I trained as a photographer so I can take photographs (professionally).
I worked in commercial and industrial photography and produced large graphics for exhibitions. I have a good knowledge of typefaces, how to layout graphics, designing posters and the use of text and colour.
I ran a small printing company, using a litho-offset so I can mange print, copying, collating, creating leaflets, scanning etc.
exhibitions
For many years I have been organising a trade show at the NEC. I have run exhibition stands at shows in the UK and abroad and can advise on booking stand space, arrange everything to go with the stand including staff, graphics, displays, logistics etc. etc.
sales
Sales management is an area I worked in for many years. Creating systems for processing order, managing stock, costing products, managing sales staff and systems. I traveled all over the UK selling to various companies. I have a reasonable knowledge of using SAGE accounting software (though I am not an accountant or book-keeper!).
computer skills
I have been using PC's since the days before the INTEL chip. Mailmerge is easy in WORD. I can develop spreadsheets to project sales, make easy to use business forms that can be sent to clients to complete. I can create databases in Access and EXCEL that can be used to mailmerge to letters or email.
the internet
I have a good knowledge of the internet. Can create web sites (like this one) that are attractive and informative. Can include online forms and I know where to look for deals on domain names, hosting your web site and software that lets you manage your own web site.
